I know it has been forever since I last updated.  This will not be a "catch up post" though.  I will try to do one of those later with pictures of the girls included.  Meanwhile I just had to share this:

I figured I better update my Xanga with some picturesof our lovely new addition.  However, it is quite strange to be about the last person on Xanga to be posting about it, since I am the child's mother.  Tardiness aside:  Introducing the one, the only Helen Faith Clemons.

She was born Friday, February 16, 2007 at 2:13pm.  She weighed 8lbs 9oz and was 21 inches long.  It is a little hard to tell, but we think her eyes are blue-grey.  I have more pictures of her, but it seems Xanga doesn't want to load them.  Bad Xanga.  Wayne's whole family came up for the weekend.  They were planning toleave Saturday night, but they got snowed into our apartment and had to spend the night with us.  I had 14 people sleeping in my apartment that night; most of them were onthe living room floor!  Two days after Helen was born, we celebrated Emma's 3rd birthday with my family.  We had a small present opening with Wayne's family the day before, becuase they had to leave.  She was quite delighted with it.  Her aunties Leila and Betsy got her ballet DVDs and and outfit and practice bar.  She and Lily both had a great time with that.  I have some more lovely photos of the party and the girls that Xanga also refuses to upload.  This is getting frustrating.  Hopefully when Wayne gets home, he will make Xanga behave.  It seems Helen brought at least a temporary Spring with her.  Ihope it doesn't get as bitterly cold and miserable again as it was in the weeks before she was born.  Leila and Betsy are taking care of our family this week.  They are quite a blessing!  I think our sleep schedule is hard on them, though.  We are night owls that keep them up past 10 o'clock every night (even the girls), and they are used to getting up early, so they seem to have to sit around bored and watching the opera channel every morning for a while before even our energetic toddlers wake up.  Of course I've only heard about this.  I am always asleep while it is happening.  They are bearing up under the antics of my active toddlers and eternally wet or poopy newborn quite admirably.  I will miss them when they leave.  All I have to do is sit around and occasionally nurse Helen or eat what I'm served.  I am so spoiled.  I give my love to all you who I haven't seen in a while.  Soon I will hopefully be considered recovered enough to put in a public appearance, like at LAMB this weekend.  I will miss you all if I don't.

TTFN,
Quinn

I thought to myself just now, "ah, it is nice to sit down and just play around the computer."  Of course, then Lily came up to me coughing and crying about something, and I needed to comfort her for a few minutes before continuing on this update.  I thought she had gotten over her cold, grr.  I have been in a waddling fury of activity so far this week preparing for the baby to come.  I have the house clean and fairly well stocked with frozen foods.  The spare room is almost completely ready to be lived in.  Wayne helped alot with that over the weekend, but most of the time he is, as usual, extremely busy with law school.  Tommorrow, I hope to bring Lily's baby book up to speed.  I think Lily deserves to have her first steps recorded at least a little before her baby brother's/sister's are. :)  Today I went swimming in our indoor pool for the second time since winter started.  Momma and my cousin Mitchell and the girls were with me.   It was very enjoyable, except that me bathing suit was a bit too tight on my big belly.  Lily and Emma were really cute and loved "swimming".  Also my Mommy bought me lots of yummy groceries, including cherries, one of my favorite pregnancy foods.  Yummy!  THANK YOU MOMMA!  Hopefully, I will be able to update with mew baby pics very soon.  Since baby Clemons is currently trying to make room for his/her legs in my ribcage, I say the sooner the better!

I have finally found the time and strength to write again.  At least one member of our little family has been sick for the last 12 days straight.  It went from coughs to sinus infections to just plain yucky feeling colds and ended with everyone getting a nasty stomach virus.   Yesterday was the first day in a long time that I wasn't too sick or too tired to do much.  However, I spent yesterday doing a lot of cleaning, since illness tends to cause you to "let things go".  So today I post.  I just got finished with a lovely Sabbath.  We wallowed in our health and our newly cleaned house, and then headed off to church for a night of study, praised, fellowship, and feasting.  Some of the yound adults had a new game based on the Pirates of the Carribean that looked very interesting, but the babies were getting fussy, so we had to go home.  Hopefully next week, I'll get a chance to participate in the "Trade Embargo Dance" which is the affectionate name we old school YMIAers gave to the newer version of the traditional Isreali War Dance.  Looking forward to seeing if I can do that dance in a "smoother" fashion for pregnancy, the way I've been doing during praise and worship.  Yawn...whew I am tired though.  Have a lovely week!  Good night.

P.S.  If Mrs. Lenhart is reading this post, I highly recommend the book I am currently reading.  It is excellent for preparing for any birth in whatever setting you choose (hospital, home, birth center).
